About
I’ve spent most of my life in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver, BC, with the privilege of spending summers on Hornby Island. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the sea, forests, and beaches, I appreciated it, though admittedly, I often took it for granted.
Hornby is home to a vibrant community of artists, and I visited their studios each year with admiration. While I’ve always valued art, I never imagined I’d become an artist myself, I didn’t think I was creative enough.
That changed after working with a non-profit arts group. Encouraged by other artists, I began to explore my creative side. I love learning, and playing with colour and texture has been deeply rewarding. Not everything turns out as expected, but sometimes, the surprises are even better.
